After their 50th anniversary the 8th/9th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment will receive new Colours for the 8th Battalion. The old Colours will be retired and laid up in Brisbane City Hall.
Come along to watch the historic parade as soldiers march along Adelaide Street, stopping at Anzac Square to seek permission from the Lord Mayor to exercise their right to Freedom of Entry to the City of Brisbane before continuing to King George Square.
The parade starts at 10am on Saturday 2 November, concluding in King George Square at 11am.
The regiment last exercised their right to Freedom of Entry to the City of Brisbane in 2016.
