Find out by joining this fun and fascinating activity where you'll discover the incredible diversity and surprising superpowers of these tide-driven masters of disguise. In-built compass, shrinking internal organs, sleeping on the wing, and epic migratory journeys between the Arctic circle and Australia are just some of their amazing abilities. So grab some binoculars, put on your explorer's hat, and join us to learn more about Moreton Bay's resident and migratory shorebirds, and help identify simple things we can all do to help protect these vulnerable birds. Binoculars supplied, or feel free to bring your own. After the activity, visit the environment centre's interactive displays or explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the wetlands. Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Wear sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed shoes, and bring insect repellent. Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site. Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
