Nature Journaling for kids 7-12 years

Ages 7-12 years
Free
Discover the joys of connecting with nature through the calming, creative practice of nature journaling. Environment Centre staff will guide you through some fun and simple exercises in this introductory session to learn the basics.
Nature journaling is the practice of recording your interactions with nature on paper. You can use sketches, paintings, poetry, species lists, numbers, graphs, cartoons and more. It's a fun, easy, relaxing practice and encourages mindfulness, hones observation skills, and cultivates a sense of wonder.
All materials provided, but we recommend you bring your own basic sketch/art book so you can keep your creations in one place. Limited seating available. Bring an outdoor chair if you need one.
After the workshop, visit the environment centre or remain in the reserve to continue working on your nature journal.
