Celebrate the wonderful world of birds on a guided walk marking National Threatened Species Day, commemorated each year on 7 September.
Would you like to learn about birds and how to identify them? Then join this engaging and informative guided walk to learn the basics of birdwatching. Birdwatching is a fascinating and rewarding way to slow down, connect with nature, and attune your senses to wildlife observation. Enjoy a gentle walk in one of Brisbane’s top bird-watching hotspots, and along the way learn how Citizen Science bird-watching data helps the conservation of threatened species and their habitats.
Binoculars are supplied or bring your own.
Requirements: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in at the meeting point. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.
Notes: There are no public toilets on site. This event will go head in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
