Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you!Due to the nature and needs of the Wetlands, the volunteer work revolves around identifying invasive weeds and removing them after establishing the best way to deal with individual weed species. This allows the natural seed bank in the soil to regenerate. The Boondall Wetlands Bushcare Group meet up on most Fridays (except public holidays).
