Join the environment centre staff on a short guided tour along the Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track (place of useful plants). This walk will showcase edible plants used by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as by colonial settlers, along with some surprising uses. Please note collecting plants is not permitted in this protected conservation reserve. After the walk, join a short tasting session where you can try some foods prepared using native plants and find out more about some of the &lsquo;bush food&rsquo; native plants suitable for backyards and balconies in Brisbane. <strong>Requirements</strong>: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the environment centre. Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Bring water and a snack as there are no food outlets on site. <strong>Note</strong>: This event will go ahead in light rain and can be adapted for indoors if required. Bookings required via Eventbrite.

All participants require a ticket. A ratio of one adult per 4 children required. Maximum 5 tickets per booking. If you cannot attend, cancel via Eventbrite. Children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.
