Beams Road Upgrade - Rescheduled night and weekend construction works

Due to recent and forecast wet weather, the night and continuous weekend construction works along Beams Road and Dorville Road have been rescheduled.

Night works

Night works to complete initial asphalting will now take place during the next available dry weather periods over the next two weeks.

These works will involve installing new road pavement along Beams Road, at the Dorville Road intersection and through to Balcara Avenue. You may experience:

  • Increased lighting and noise from plant and machinery operating throughout the night/morning.
  • Low levels of vibration and odour from asphalt.
  • Due to workplace health and safety requirements, reversing beepers cannot be switched off.

Weekend works

Weekend works have been rescheduled. The works will now take place from 7pm Friday 12 July until 5am Monday 15 July 2024, and will include both day and night works.

Works to remove the existing road and construct the new road pavement at the northern area of the Dorville Road and Beams Road intersection will be undertaken using a partial road closure and continuous operations.

During this time, Dorville Road between Beams Road and Matisse Street, will be closed to all motorists, with local traffic only permitted to travel into the restricted traffic area. Some directly impacted stakeholders may have short term access restrictions and will be contacted directly. Please follow the direction of detour signage and traffic controllers on site.
