Changes to bus services in Brisbane CBD until late 2024

Temporary changes to bus services in Brisbane City will be in place from Monday 11 December 2023 to late 2024 due to Brisbane Metro works. The works will require temporary platform closures at King George Square station, resulting in several bus stop relocations in the CBD. Find out more.

Brisbane City Council is delivering the turn-up-and-go Brisbane Metro. From 21 October, metro vehicles will be operating on the popular 169 route between Eight Mile Plains and UQ Lakes stations.

Council operates 23 CityCats and five KittyCats along a network of 23 terminals from
UQ St Lucia to Northshore Hamilton. Express CityCats provide 145 peak-hour express services each week (excluding weekends and public holidays).
