Runs with a view

Preparation is the key to success! Prepare in style by going on a run along the river below the Kangaroo Point Cliffs for the best views of the city. Alternatively, run bayside at the Sandgate Foreshore promenade or the Wynnum Manly foreshore, or go offroad to the more than 70 nature tracks and trails across the Mt Coot-tha precinct. If you want to run with a group, check out your local parkrun events happening across the city.

Fuel up the right way

Getting the right fuel can make all the difference in training and on race day. Start your riverside practice run from Brisbane City with a coffee, juice or smoothie from Strauss Cafe and end it with a brunch at Mylk + Ko Cafe in New Farm. Alternatively, set up a small picnic at the beautiful New Farm Park.

Have fun with it!

There are many other fun and creative ways to improve your fitness and prepare for the race. Try your hand at pickleball, the newest popular sport in Brisbane, at parks across the city. Alternatively, Guyatt Park, St Lucia has an 11-obstacle parkour course for you to get ready in style! Finally, there's ample opportunity to dive in and make a splash at a Council pool.
