Grants and awards for seniors
Brisbane City Council offers a range of grants and awards.
The following grants may be of particular interest to seniors involved in community groups and non-profit organisations:
- Seniors Celebration Donation - helps senior citizens groups to cover the cost of activities such as social outings and Christmas parties
- Cultivating Community Gardens Grants - provides funding to establish, develop and maintain community gardens on Council-owned and other land
- Australia Day Awards - Senior Citizen of the Year
