Nundah Cemetery
Nundah Cemetery is located 10 kilometres north of Brisbane CBD, encompassing almost four acres. This heritage listed ceremony was originally known as 'German Station Cemetery' with the first recorded burial taking place in 1873.

Burial options
No new grave sites are available at Nundah Cemetery.
Ashes interments are available in existing family graves.
Burials in existing family graves may also be available, where the grave still has space or the last burial was more than 30 years ago. Family grave re-use is only available to direct descendants of the people already buried in the grave or those related to the burial right holder. Download family grave re-use application forms.
Memorial wall for ashes
A new granite memorial wall was built in Nundah Cemetery in October 2016 and has memorial sites available for ashes interments.
To view available wall sites at Nundah Cemetery, an appointment is necessary to ensure there is an officer available to assist. To request an appointment, contact the office by email.
Locating graves and ashes memorial sites
Nundah Cemetery is managed by Toowong Cemetery.
As Nundah Cemetery is unmanned, it is recommended that you contact the Toowong Cemetery office by email to request directions to the grave site, stating the name of the deceased and the grave location.
Incorrect or missing records
It is believed that some of the Nundah burial registers were destroyed in floods prior to the first recorded burial in 1873. The burial registers that did survive the age of time are somewhat 'sketchy' and were not easily translated onto Council's database.
We are able to add a Nundah Cemetery interment to our records if we receive a copy of the death certificate by email.
