Locating graves and ashes memorial sites
The practice of marking numbers on gravestones was not introduced until the late 1900's. As most of the graves at South Brisbane Cemetery are quite old, the majority of headstones do not have numbers marked on them. This makes finding graves at South Brisbane Cemetery extremely difficult without assistance.

It is recommended that you obtain a portion map. As South Brisbane Cemetery is unmanned, contact the Toowong Cemetery office by email to request a portion map.
