Brisbane City Hall restoration 2010-2013

Brisbane City Hall closed its doors at the end of 2009 so it could undergo critical restoration work. Council reopened City Hall in April 2013 after a three year renovation.

City Hall participated in a Green Star pilot for public buildings as part of the 2010-2013 restoration.

Council uncovered a wall containing over 150 signatures from World War II Veterans at City Hall while restoring the basement.

'The Soul of Brisbane' documentary series documents City Hall's restoration and can be viewed on City Hall's YouTube channel, or loaned from Council libraries.
