Time is running out for current AST schools to nominate for the 2019 Active School Travel Awards. The annual awards night will be held in City Hall on Monday 4 November 2019 and will recognise and celebrate the achievements and innovation of AST schools. While some awards such as Highest Percentage of Active Travel and Most Improved School are calculated on your statistics from the year, others require you to nominate.
To nominate for an award, current AST schools can simply complete the nomination poster template sent by their AST officer, to be in the running for:
- School of the Year (for schools in their first year on the program)
- School of Excellence (for schools in their second or third year of the program)
- Walk of Fame (for schools with a sustained commitment to active travel over time)
Nomination posters will be on display at the awards night so schools can learn from your ideas and initiatives. It’s a great opportunity to highlight your achievements and get inspiration from others. Nominations close Tuesday 24 September so don’t miss out!
