Tender alerts
Brisbane City Council seeks tenders and quotes to buy goods and services. Tenders and quotes are advertised on Council's website. Council uses SAP Ariba to alert interested suppliers of upcoming tenders. To be eligible to receive tender notifications and submit a bid, suppliers will need to register with Council and have a SAP Business Network Account. To register your interest to become a supplier of Council, complete Council's Supplier self-registration request form.
Council will invite suppliers to tender via SAP Ariba based on their nominated UNSPSC. Suppliers can view upcoming and current tender information.

It is important that we know the types of products and services that your business provides. Council uses the UNSPSC (product and services) classification codes to search for potential suppliers to invite to tender. When completing your supplier registration questionnaire, it is important that you provide the product and services code of the goods and services that you supply.
Once you have a SAP Business Network account, you will automatically receive tender email alerts based on your nominated UNSPSC (product and services) code.

How to add or remove UNSPSC categories for tender notifications
SAP Ariba allows suppliers to maintain their own data. Suppliers can access their UNSPSC information via self-service in the SAP Ariba portal. Keep your Supplier registration questionnaire up to date with accurate UNSPSC details to ensure your company is considered for potential business opportunities.
- Log in to your SAP Business Network account
- Navigate to SAP Ariba proposals and questionnaires
- Access Council’s Supplier registration questionnaire
- Click revise response
- Update the UNSPSC (products and services) category codes
- Click submit
It will be mandatory to choose at least one UNSPSC classification, however you can choose as many as you wish to have against your business record in SAP Ariba.
How to update contact details
Tender notifications are sent to the email address provided at the time of registration. Keeping your company details updated on your SAP Business Network account and Council's Supplier registration questionnaire will ensure that your company receives notifications of upcoming procurement opportunities.
