Community grants

Brisbane City Council's community grant programs help fund local non-profit community groups. This funding helps to develop and improve community facilities and services in Brisbane. Grants also help meet the housing and social needs of people experiencing homelessness and support community groups facing financial hardship.

Community Clean-Up Payment

Following the recent severe weather event, community organisations may require immediate support to make their facilities safe, clean-up, conduct minor repairs and return to operations.

To support this relief phase of disaster recovery, Council will provide a one-off $7,500 payment to not-for-profit community organisations who have been impacted.

The Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants program supports not-for-profit community organisations to deliver projects and activities across the city and to maintain, improve and develop community facilities. 

The Lord Mayor's Community Fund supports community groups for their vital contribution of building strong communities in Brisbane.

This program provides funding to community organisations for projects and services. Includes housing and social needs of homeless people or those living in social housing.

Grants currently closed

The following Council grants for community groups and non-profit organisations are currently closed.

The Lord Mayor’s Safer Suburbs Grants provides funding to support projects that strengthen security for Council Community Leased Facilities.

The Program will enable new, innovative and sustainable solutions to address the growing community issue of homelessness.
