Summer Reading program

Readers of all ages and interests are invited to join the challenge with Brisbane City Council libraries' Summer Reading program. It's free to participate and you'll have a chance to win a $50 Dymocks voucher!

The program combines reading and library activities to encourage library members to experience the joy of reading over the summer holiday break.

Spend your summer reading in blissful solitude, or discover a love of reading together with your friends or family.

Council's 33 librariesmobile library service and Pop-up Library will host the Summer Reading program from Thursday 2 January to Saturday 25 January 2025.

Don't miss out on the fun! Visit your local library to sign up for free library membership.

How the program works

  1. Register to participate in the Summer Reading program using the online form
  2. Visit your local library from 16 December 2024 to collect your Summer Reading challenge card.
  3. Have your bingo challenge card stamped by a library staff member at any Council library each time you complete a reading challenge.
  4. With 9 challenges in total, you’ll get one competition entry for every 3 challenges you complete, to go in the draw to win a $50 Dymocks voucher!
